These are groups that we feel really do a good job at representing the audio community as a whole. From the information that is given, the honesty that is conveyed, and individual character of the people sharing it.
We do not pay for reviews nor do we work with any review based group that asks for money.
We believe, while that is the business of others and they are entitled to do so, it leads to a large and continued separation from the core values of what the audio world should be for people. Additionally, that misinformation or misleading information, from many different sources and platforms, does not facilitate the ability for people to have a personal experience and the grasp the full potential of the hobby.....
.......which is against the entire principles of music.
Analog Restorations was in search of something truly unique, captivating, special, and even enlightening. It could be said that this was a serendipitous collaboration, and along with so many other positive adjectives, that would be correct. Being involved in audio is something that is quite special and what we hear, what we feel, and how we visualize it in our minds is nothing shy of art. Every aspect of its creation is artistic, removing us from the the black and white and allowing us to feel the colors of life.
We are pleased to introduce a wonderful collaboration with Karen Payton, an artist who makes these colors come alive. She takes these feelings, along the joy of music and creation, and captures them in some of the most inspiring and creative art we have seen. Her technique and style is unique in every way. She carefully creates each piece with different textiles. Whether she finds the inspiration in old sheets, jeans, dish cloths, or remnants. They get dyed and splattered woth textile paints. They are ironed and stitched together on a sewing machine. When needed the combination of cotton and colored pencils are incorporated. The end result is a stunning piece ready to hang in your home. We welcome you to visit her online gallery and spend some time there.
As part of our collaboration, a carefully curated selection of her work is available for purchase on our custom cork platter mats. Each platter mat will have a print of her artwork dyed directly into the surface of the cork, leaving it perfectly smooth. The finished product is ready to represent her beautiful work within the enjoyment of your audio system and as part of your home. We find it as a truly wonderful way to incorporate art onto your turntable, on display in your home, and as an extension to yourself.
We could not be more pleased for her to share this with us and we encourage you to get caught up in it.
